Love-lace.org was purchased from Host Monster.com in early March, 2007. I had started to seriously think about getting a domain again when I was beginning to think of changing my site's name. 'Pixelized Perfection' just wasn't working for me- I felt it was a tad too juvenile, and not really descriptive of my site, seeing as I was no longer dolling consistently, or even making pixels. And so, Love-lace.org was born! They hyphen was not inteded to be in the name, but all the good Lovelace exstenions were taken. Apparently it's an old family name!
This was the debut layout for Love Lace! Getting the background to repeat properly was a nightmare. This was my first layout aligned to the right side of the page. I quite liked it at first, but I got sick of it very quick.
V. 2 Flying ColorsThis is my favorite layout ever, in the history of both Pixelized Perfection AND Love Lace! I love the bright colors, the crisp lines, and the birds. They turned out much better than expected! This was my first centered layout, and the first to feature a visible footer.
V. 3 PolkadotThis was pretty much a re-incarnation of V. 2. I hardly did anything besides change the header and fiddle with the CSS a tad; the colors are still the same! While I had this layout up, I managed to get in to CSS Clip! I'm not really sure how... as you can see in the screen shot they have up, I was obviously oblivious to the fact that few people have Franklin Gothic Book.
V. 4 'Web 2.0'This was an... interesting layout. I made it right after coming back from a hiatus, and wanted to try something different. It was suitably different, and I quite liked it at first, but my opinion of it went downhill fast. I was still using Franklin Gothic Book as my main font here, without a nice-looking back up, resulting in an ugly view for several people. This one didn't last too long.
V. 5 Crazy SafariThis is another of my favorite layouts. I did a lot of work with this one. I changed the header image around I-don't-know-HOW-many times, and fiddled with the code on and off for a day or two. I also got a lot of help on this! My thanks to the people at Snark, Hwesta (who cleaned up my extremely untidy code and changed my navigation to a list), and Sammii(who came up with the final break through- a border-left of green, to create the seperation between content and sidebar!).
