Through Wolf's Eyes is a spectacular fantasy novel written by Jane Lindskold. It is about a child supposed to be the daughter of a prince, who was raised by wolves. She rejoins society after a search party (sparked by the death of all other successors to the throne) finds her, all of them hoping that she is the lost heir they've been searching for.
I think this book really jumped right in, and you never had a chance to become bored. Right away you are introduced to Firekeeper, and then Derian and some others in Earl Kestrel's camp. Another thing that keeps the book from becoming boring is the constant switching of perspectives. Right when one character is running into a dull spot, we go to another character. And right when you thing she's done introducing new characters, another pops up.
I love some of the embarrassing scenes with Derian and Firekeeper, and I love how the author has thought of things to include in the novel that others might not have, such as the effect of Blind Seer on the mounts, along with how Firekeeper really acts.
Another of my favorite parts of this book would have to be the characters. I love Doc, Elise, Derian, and Firekeeper, and I can understand why they've done the things they've done. Their personalities are all varied and intriguing. Plus, they make you laugh more than once.
Overall, I really enjoyed this book, and would recommend it to anyone who loves a good fantasy story.
